What the Developing World Can Teach Us About Youth Ministry

Running sores, bloated bellies, fly ridden refugee camps, Bono and Oprah surrounded by hungry kids. These are the images of the developing world that we see every day on TV. Yet there is something happening that goes way beyond this that our young people are innately picking up on, something that if we miss, will make our work with them here in Canada way less effective. Taking a look at the issues of social justice and youth work, as well as the call God is placing on the hearts of many young people today, Andy Harrington will look at the lessons that the developing world can teach us and will help us understand why we need Africa more than Africa needs us.
